Description
Sam is a female detective with the NYPD. Vandy is a bartender and struggling musician. Russell is a closeted soap opera actor afraid of being outed. Ty is Russell's former college roommate who once had a relationship with Dawnie, a 27 year old virgin currently in graduate school. Jesse is Dawnie's friend who works as a publicist. These six young lives interact and struggle with coming-of-age in New York City shortly after college.

What happens after college for six friends with individual lifes. Dawnie, a graduate student writing a thesis on the "lost generation" and at 27 she is standing strong as a virgin. Along side is her two best female friends. Sam, a sassy social worker and Jesse, a publicist obsessed with the downtown dating scene. Then there is Vandy, a musician in the day, bartender in the night. He still carries a torch for Sam. Ty, who reappears after dating Dawnie who he dumped for not "giving out" and was the college roommate of Russell. Russel is a gay soap opera star terrified of being out. They have six individual lives, six interesting sex lifes, and one common friendship that will last for life.

- Season 1: 7. Thanks For Nothin' (1999). The gang's Thanksgiving dinner overheats due to Russ's attempts to come out to his folks, Ty's choice of a date, and Jesse's offering Vince a place at their table next to Sam.
- Season 1: 8. Truth Or Consequences (1999). Vince and Sam move closer, while Ty and Dawnie move further apart. Meanwhile Russ meets a reporter, and is unsure if he is gay.
- Season 1: 9. Object Of My Affection, The (1999). Russ and Cliff go out on their first date; Coffee Boy and Jesse get back together; Vince wife signs the divorce papers, and Sam and Vince can finally be together.
- Season 1: 10. Great Expectations (1999). Dawnie decides to lose her virginity before the New Year; Russell and Jesse are upset when they both find themselves dateless on New Year's Eve.
- Season 1: 11. Morning After, The (1999). It is January 1. As a tradition everyone heads over Dawnie and Russell's place to write their New Year's Resolutions.
- Season 1: 12. Defining Moments (1999). Everyone back at work knows that Sam and Vince are a couple which jeopardize Vince's job. New coupled Vandy and Dawnie start to feel awkward around each other.
- Season 1: 13. Death Becomes Her (1999). Jesse meets Coffee Boy's Ex and feels threatened after they start to get close; Russell gets a Dear Cliff email; Dawnie computer crashes, and with it her thesis.
